EP MEDSYSTEMS GETS FDA MARKET RELEASE FOR DEFLECTABLE CATHETER.

EP MedSystems, Inc. ("EPMD"), Mount Arlington, N.J., has received 510-K market clearance for its deflectable handle device to be used with its electrophysiology catheters.

EPMD intends to use the deflectable or "steerable" catheter, in conjunction with its SilverFlex(TM) technology to have a multi-function electrode catheter.

David Jenkins, EPMD's chairman and CEO stated "This is one product enhancement out of many which we expect to be approved for market release over the next year. This particular steerable feature allows us to bring out a full family of catheters without limitations".

EP MedSystems, Inc. is in the business of manufacturing and marketing cardiac electrophysiology ("EP") products. The company's EP product line includes the EP WorkMate(R) electrophysiology workstation, the EP-3(TM) Stimulator, diagnostic electrophysiology catheters, internal cardioversion catheters and related disposable supplies. The EP WorkMate(R) has been designed as a flexible platform, so that a number of new computer based catheter technologies can be introduced without the necessity of new hardware for the physician or hospital customer. New catheter technologies, which the company intends to introduce over the next twelve months, include ultrasound imaging catheters, internal cardioversion catheters, and new mapping catheters.
