 ENZ ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT -- EUROPEAN OPERATIONS AT MAGNETEK
 LOS ANGELES, Sept. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Lee A. Enz has been elected vice president -- European operations at MagneTek Inc. (NYSE: MAG), a leader electrical equipment manufacturer. The announcement of Enz's election was made by Frank Perna Jr., MagneTek's president and chief executive officer.
 In his new position as the company's senior European manager, Enz is responsible for the operations and coordination of all MagneTek electrical and electronics businesses in Germany, Italy, France, Hungary, the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe. He is based in MagneTek's European headquarters office in Mainaschaff, Germany, and, according to Perna, will play an important role in MagneTek's evolving European strategy.
 Most recently chief financial officer of MagneTek's European operations, Enz joined the company in 1988 as vice president -- finance of it Huntington, Ind.-based Electronic Ballast business. Immediately prior to joining MagneTek, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Metromail Corp., Lincoln, Neb. For 14 years, Enz held various financial and operational positions in the electrical and automotive industries. Previously, he served for nine years as an audit manager in the Chicago office of the accounting firm of Arthur Andersen & Co.
 A graduate of Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., Enz holds a masters of business administration degree in finance/accounting from Roosevelt University, Chicago. He is a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Financial Executives Institute and the Tax Executives Institute. Married and the father of two grown children, he resides with his wife in Gelnhausen, Germany.
 Based in Los Angeles, MagneTek Inc. manufactures and markets a broad line of Energy Engineered(TM) electrical equipment, including lighting ballasts, transformers, power supplies, drives and controls. MagneTek operates 50 factories and service centers in North America and 10 overseas. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, MagneTek reported sales of $1.2 billion for its fiscal year ended June 30, 1992.
