BETHESDA, Md., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Envirotest Systems Corp.

today announced that it has acquired Systems Control Inc. from SD Scicon plc. No purchase price was disclosed.
Both Envirotest, through its wholly owned subsidiary Hamilton Test Systems, and Systems Control are in the business of testing automobile emissions to assure compliance with regulatory standards.
Tucson-based Hamilton Test Systems and Systems Control Inc., based in Sunnyvale, Calif., conduct their businesses via contracts with states to conduct automobile emissions testing. The companies have contracts with several states, as well as the Canadian province of British Columbia.
