ENVIRONMENTAL TECTONICS CORPORATION RECEIVES CONTRACT FROM U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Tectonics Corporation (AMEX: ETC) today announced the receipt of a contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for two Fumigators and one Sterilization System.
The contract, which is worth more than $220,000, is to be completed and delivered in October 1993.
Oftentimes, harmful insects or disease-carrying seeds are brought into the United States via foreign plant products. ETC's Fumigators and Sterilization System will serve to protect the U.S. ecology against these potential hazards by allowing the USDA to comply with quarantine regulations for the safe and proper handling of foreign plant products and prohibited seeds used for research purposes.
William F. Mitchell, president and chief executive officer, stated, "This contract reaffirms ETC's diversity and competency in the sterilization industry. We look forward to a successful relationship with the USDA, which will, no doubt, pave the way for other future government contracts."
ETC designs, manufactures and installs sterilization equipment, hyperbaric systems, aircrew training systems, environmental testing and simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international customers. ETC is listed on the AMEX and traded under the stock symbol "ETC."
