ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES USA, INC.SUBSIDIARY RECEIVES LOAN RECOMMENDATION

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn., June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- United Recycling, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENVR), a recycler of carpet waste, has announced that the company has been recommended for a $500,000 loan from the Minnesota Office of Waste Management (OWM).
The Market Development Coordinating Council, voted to recommend to the director of the OWM that United's carpet tack-strip production project be funded with some contingencies. The final decision on the loan will be made by the director.
The OWM considers carpeting a waste problem material and has made previous awards to the company for collection and separation projects.
United Recycling collects waste carpeting from area dealers and installers. After recycling the material, the company manufactures a recycled carpet tack-strip as a substitute for wood-based strips now used in the industry. This closed-loop process is unique and makes United Recycling a national leader in processing carpet waste.
The company manufactures the tack-strips on a limited basis at its St. Louis Park plant. The anticipated funding will be used to expand the company's ability to manufacture an adequate volume of tack-strips to reach profitability.
Charles Pyle, the president and founder of United Recycling, said that the company believes that it will be able to market all the tack- strips it can produce due to current interest and anticipated acceptance of this product by the carpet industry.
Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. is a Minneapolis-based corporation that invests in companies that provide environmental solutions. Another wholly owned subsidiary, Clean Green Packing Company of Minnesota, develops, manufactures and markets a biodegradable loose- fill packing material that replaces polystyrene.
