ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES USA, INC. SUBSIDIARY DELIVERS FIRST PRODUCT MADE FROM RECYCLED CARPET

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- United Recycling, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENVR), announced today the initial deliveries of its "tack strip" manufactured from recycled nylon carpet materials to distributors in the Twin Cities market. The tack strip is used to fasten carpet to floors and can replace wood products currently used in carpet installations.
Through a proprietary process, United Recycling converts post- consumer carpeting into polymer resin which is then remanufactured to make carpet tack strips. The new resin tack strip is designed to be strong, pliable and easily cut. United Recycling has been in a research and development stage since its founding three years ago.
Founder, Charlie Pyle, Jr., formed the company after 30 years in the carpeting industry because he saw a need to find alternative uses for the approximately 3 billion pounds of carpeting replaced every year. Currently, used carpeting is disposed of in landfills or by incineration.
"We are extremely pleased to bring this first tack strip made of post-consumer carpeting to the marketplace," said Pyle, president of Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. "It's gratifying to have developed a high-quality tack strip and found a positive use for waste carpeting," he added.
Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. is a Minneapolis-based corporation that invests in companies that provide environmental solutions. Another wholly owned subsidiary, Clean Green Packing Company of Minnesota, develops, manufactures and markets a biodegradable loose- fill packing material that replaces polystrene.
