ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES USA, INC. ANNOUNCES PRELIMINARY RESULTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED APRIL 30, 1993

 MINNEAPOLIS, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENVR) ("ETI") announced today preliminary results for the year ended April 30, 1993 (unaudited). Sales for that year increased to $679,610 from $3,663 for the same period one year ago. The principal source of revenue for ETI was the wholly owned subsidiary, Clean Green Packing Company of Minnesota ("Clean Green"), which was acquired Nov. 4, 1992. On a pro-forma basis, which include the Fiscal Year 1992 results for Clean Green, sales were $371,868 in Fiscal 1992.
 Gross profit increased from a loss of $3,297 in the prior year to a profit of $61,290 or 9 percent of sales in the current period. On a pro-forma basis, gross profit improved from a loss of $133,244 in Fiscal 1992.
 Total selling, general and administrative expenses, reflecting the expense of litigation with Warner-Lambert, an initial public offering of the company's common stock, the acquisitions of Clean Green and Evergreen Solutions, and the expansion of both marketing and administrative staff rose to $2,301,435 from $376,174 a year ago.
 For the full year ended April 30, 1993, ETI reported, on an unaudited basis, a net loss per share of $0.84 versus $1.05 in the prior year.
 Environmental Technologies USA, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiaries, develops, manufactures, markets and distributes biodegradable and recycled substitutes for virgin plastic resins. Clean Green Packing of Minnesota manufactures and distributes biodegradable starch based foam loose-fill packing material. United Recycling Inc. converts post consumer carpeting into polymer resins for remanufacturing commercial and consumer products.
