ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES USA, INC. AND BRAXTON INDUSTRIES AGREE TO DISCONTINUE MERGER PLANS

 MINNEAPOLIS, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Environmental Technologies USA, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENVR) (ETI) and Braxton Industries of Bovey, Minn. announced today their intention to discontinue merger discussions.
 James D. Bonneville, president and CEO of ETI, stated that "Our decision to discontinue further negotiations is due primarily to a desire for greater focus and to maximize the current opportunities for its wholly owned subsidiaries Clean Green packing of Minnesota and United Recycling, Inc." Recently Clean Green Packing Company of Minnesota completed a merger with EverGreen Solutions, Inc. and United Recycling, Inc. is currently introducing a carpet tack strip manufactured from recycled carpet material.
 Environmental Technologies USA, Inc., through its wholly owned subsidiaries, manufactures and markets, distributes and develops biodegradable and recycled substitutes for virgin plastic resins. Clean Green Packing of Minnesota manufactures and distributes biodegradable starch based foam loose-fill packing material. United Recycling, Inc. converts post consumer carpeting into polymer resins for remanufacturing commercial and consumer products.
