ENVIROFIL ANNOUNCES PRELIMINARY AGREEMENT FOR ACQUISITION OF NORTHEASTERN UNITED STATES WASTE COMPANY

 RADNOR, Pa., Jan. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Envirofil, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFILC) announced today that it has entered into a letter of intent to acquire a solid waste company which operates in the northeastern United States for cash and stock totalling approximately $15.9 million.
 The letter of intent is subject to normal closing conditions including the completion of environmental, operational and financial due diligence, regulatory approval of the transaction and the execution of a definitive agreement. The company's annual revenues are approximately $30 million primarily derived by the collection of municipal, commercial and industrial solid waste as well as the operation of recycleries and the sale of recycled products to end markets. The company said it believes the acquisition will be completed no later than the summer of 1993.
 Additionally, effective Jan. 20, 1993, the company's NASDAQ symbol will be restored to EFIL.
 Envirofil currently operates two landfills and has previously announced the signing of a letter of intent to acquire Environmental Waste of America based in Seattle.
 Envirofil will continue to pursue the acquisition, operation and development of non-hazardous solid waste landfills and related collection and recycling businesses
