ENVIROFIL, INC. NAMES NEW CFO

 PHILADELPHIA, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Envirofil, Inc. (NASDAQ: EFIL) has announced the hiring of Gerald J. Lynam to serve as its chief financial officer and as an executive vice president. Lynam will also serve as a director of the company.
 Lynam, who is 48 years old, has significant executive experience in the solid waste industry. From March 1990 to June 1993, Lynam has served as an independent business consultant primarily to clients in the solid waste industry. From 1973 to March 1990, Lynam was employed in various capacities with Browning-Ferris Industries Inc. These capacities included regional controller; vice president, operations -- Solid Waste Division; controller, Solid Waste Division; vice president, Solid Waste Operations-North America; senior vice president, Solid Waste Operations-North America; and regional vice president of the Mid-Western Region. His responsibilities as regional vice president included total operations, sales, acquisition and permitting responsibilities for 40 operating subsidiaries having a total of $300 million in annual revenues and 1,800 employees. From 1970 to 1973, Lynam was employed by Arthur Andersen & Co. Lynam received a bachelor of science degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University in 1966 and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
 David Sutherland-Yoest, the company's chief executive officer, stated that: "Mr. Lynam brings a new dimension to Envirofil's management team. Jerry has an extraordinary understanding of the financial issues facing the rapidly growing solid waste business and possesses a level of skills that should add greatly to our management."
 The company is engaged in the acquisition, operation and development of non-hazardous solid waste landfills and related collection and recycling operations.
