ENHANCE FINANCIAL SERVICES GROUP ANNOUNCES STOCK BUYBACK

 NEW YORK, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Enhance Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE: EFS) announced today that its board of directors has authorized repurchases of up to 500,000 shares of its common stock through open market transactions effected from time to time as and when the trading price of the stock makes such purchases advantageous. This amount is in addition to similar authority previously granted by the board for the company to repurchase up to 100,000 shares. The company has repurchased approximately 85,000 shares to date.
 Enhance Group's common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "EFS."
