EMU IS PECK ON KIDS' TV.

Byline: By MARK JEFFERIES

FEATHERED fiend Emu launched his comeback yesterday mischievously holding up a sign asking: "Where is Michael Parkinson?"

The puppet famously pecked chat host Parky, 72, in 1977.

Afterwards the veteran TV host joked: "I hope I never see that damned bird again."

Emu returns for a 26-part series on children's channel CITV next month with Toby Hull - son of its creator, the late Rod Hull.

Toby, 30, said: "I hope he will entertain a new generation."

Executive producer Christopher Pilkington warned: "Chat show hosts be warned - the beak is back."

Emu entertained audiences of 11 million in the 70s. Rod Hull died in 1999 after falling off the roof at his Sussex home.
