EMONS HOLDINGS OMITS PREFERRED DIVIDEND YORK, Pa., June 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Emons Holdings, Inc.
(NASDAQ: EMHO) today announced that its board of directors at a meeting held this week voted to omit the semiannual dividend of $.07 per share on its $.14 Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock which would ordinarily be payable July 1, 1992.
The dividend is cumulative and, therefore, would have to be paid before any dividends on the company's common stock could be paid in the future. The company previously omitted certain preferred dividends. Giving effect to the July 1, 1992, omission, the total dividend arrearage will be $526,587. Emons Holdings, Inc., a freight transportation and distribution services company headquartered in York, owns and operates short-line railroads, rail/truck transload facilities and provides companies with logistic services for movement and storage of their freight.
