Sick of their constant bickering, Donald arranges an elaborate meal for Anna and Carl. While Anna's accusations of matchmaking don't go down well with her father, a heart to heart between her and Carl leads to the revelation he really does have feelings for her, left. She is initially hesitant, but says she will only consider a relationship if he dumps Lexi. Carl agrees, but is forced into an awkward position when Lexi reveals that Carrie told her he was the one who killed Tom. The Rollercoaster Rod debacle begins to escalate out of control. Curious to see what all the fuss is about, Diane lays her hands on the book, but is upset to see the character based on her is dull and boring. Becoming paranoid that she is uninteresting, she takes revenge on Rodney by ruining a business meeting, but when he throws the book away to prevent more trouble, Nicola is left in crisis, above.
