EMERGIN, Inc. announced today the release of WirelessOffice v3.0 along with new releases of its system-enhancing peripheral products: Alarm Messenger, E-mail Messenger, and Web Messenger. This powerful suite of software products integrates with all areas of e-business (legacy systems, packaged applications, monitoring equipment and databases) to deliver time sensitive information to and from all types of mobile devices (cell phones, pagers and PDAs). Key Features and Benefits

Three key new features have been added to WirelessOffice 3.0: user authentication, escalation, and two-way acknowledged response.

User authentication allows network administrators to pre-set access and response permission for individuals, groups and departments. Appropriate message access is enabled and security is enhanced.

For healthcare organizations, this assures that doctors, nurses, administrators and facilities engineers are interacting at the correct levels in their response to notifications, patient alerts and equipment alarms.

Escalation automates the elevation of alerts to additional recipients until a response is registered. For Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Application Service Providers (ASPs) who guarantee network uptime this is particularly significant. In order to provide uninterrupted service, network administrators must troubleshoot and resolve network problems fast. With WirelessOffice 3.0, notification and escalation is automatic and response is captured.

Two-way acknowledged response provides closed-loop communications for businesses that require it. With two-way messaging, mobile professionals can now acknowledge and confirm completion of specific tasks through wireless devices. For service organizations with help desks where multiple individuals are assigned tasks, the tracking of available and unavailable personnel becomes key to utilizing personnel effectively.
