EMAK Implements Second Expansion of ARI Services; Expansion Will Provide Complete Suite of Services to Dealers and Distributors.
MILWAUKEE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 5, 2001
ARI Network Services, Inc. (OTCBB:ARIS), a leading provider of technology-enabled business solutions that connect equipment manufacturers with their service and distribution networks announced that EMAK S.p.A. of Reggio Emilia, Italy, has signed a new agreement to expand their use of ARI software services to include on-line ordering.
Under the agreement, EMAK, a division of the YAMA group since 1989, has expanded their ARI e-Commerce solution to include ARI's European Lawn and Garden Industry B2B Portal Solution. With this expansion, EMAK will now provide on-line ordering capabilities to their five branches in France, Spain, Belgium, Germany and the U.K., international distributors and domestic dealer network.
"Our branches and distributors and nearly 500 dealers have been using ARI's PartSmart(R) and EMPARTweb(TM) electronic CD and Web-based catalogs as well as TradeRoute(R) dealer communications software for some time now," said Fausto Bellamico, managing director of EMAK. "Based on our experience with ARI as a reliable provider of quality software and services, the decision to use ARI's B2B Portal was only natural. In addition, ARI's products are fully integrated with each other as well as the major business management systems worldwide. Currently, all of our branches, 15 distributors and over 50 dealers are using the on-line ordering B2B Portal. Our goal is to connect 200 users to the B2B Portal and 1,000 users to either PartSmart and/or EMPARTweb by the end of 2001," added Bellamico.
"We're pleased to further expand our relationship with EMAK by having them select our B2B Portal solution," said Brian E. Dearing, chairman and chief executive officer of ARI. "EMAK is among the growing number of European companies who recognize the importance of providing a single, integrated family of e-Commerce products to their dealers and distributors. We congratulate EMAK on their successful implementation of their expanded solution in such a short period of time. We are confident that as dealers continue to adopt this technology, that they will experience the same improved service, increased productivity and reduced costs that the current users have."
Dearing indicated that ARI's integrated family of catalog and communications software benefits both the manufacturer and their dealers. "Regardless of a dealer's size or business volume, ARI provides both a catalog and communications e-Commerce solution. For dealers whose business requires continuous access to catalog information, PartSmart best meets their needs. For dealers who require less frequent access, our Web-based catalog provides an alternative solution," said Dearing.
"We cover the dealer communications side of the equation as well. Larger dealers use our TradeRoute product to send parts orders, warranty claims and other documents to European manufacturers such as EMAK, Hayter and Textron. And all dealers can benefit from the usage of ARI's B2B Portal, which is compatible with both PartSmart and EMPARTweb," Dearing concluded.
EMAK produces a wide range of products including chain saws, brushcutters, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, water pumps, sprayers, drills and power cutters. EMAK, listed on Milan Stock Exchange since June 1998, is part of the Yama Group, which controls 30 companies and is the largest Italian participant in the outdoor power and forest industry.
