Byline: Jessica Perry

ELS Educational Services Inc. and National Geographic Learning are teaming up develop custom textbooks to teach English.

On Tuesday, Princeton-based ELS Education Services said the pair will produce 24 custom-published books, in physical and digital formats, with content pulled from National Geographic's Pathways, World Ink and Great Writing.

Students will also have access to National Geographic Learning's online portal MyELT.com and teachers will be in receipt of corresponding guides for each text, in addition to a companion website and tools for presenting in the classroom.

Alexandra Zilovic, executive vice president of global operations for ELS, said the new texts would further enhance ELS students' experiences while providing instructors with new ideas.

"We're excited to work with National Geographic Learning," Zilovic said in a prepared statement. "NGL books offer engaging content with a robust digital component. And the famous National Geographic photography is unparalleled."
