ELF ATOCHEM LAUNCHES RECLAIM PROGRAM FOR JULY 1 'NO VENT' DEADLINE
PHILADELPHIA, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Elf Atochem North America, Inc. Fluorochemicals today introduced the new Forane(R) Rollover Refrigerant Reclamation Program in time for the July 1 "No Vent" Regulation by the EPA. The Rollover Program outlines the procedure for returning used refrigerant back to Elf Atochem for reclamation to ARI 700 standards. "Our objective is to improve our reclaim service to our wholesaler customers to make it easier for end users to comply with the proposed legislation of the no vent rule effective July 1, 1992. The more refrigerant we can reclaim and reuse, the better," said Jerry Dziedzic, general manager, fluorochemicals.
Elf Atochem reprocesses used refrigerant to virgin specifications, assuring end users of the highest quality for all service applications.
The following highlights how the Rollover Program works:
 -- Elf Atochem will reclaim R-11, R-12, R-22, R-113, R-114, R-500
 and R-502.
-- Elf Atochem will provide 100 lb. and 1000 lb. reclaim cylinders
 and 200 lb. reclaim drums.
-- Credits will be issued to the wholesaler on returned used
refrigerant based on the quality and type of refrigerant.
-- Refrigerant that cannot be reclaimed will be properly disposed of
 by Elf Atochem.
-- Elf Atochem will provide procedures for packaging and shipping
used refrigerants back to our reclamation facility.
-- Elf Atochem also offers a used refrigerant analytical service to
test the suitability of the material for reclamation.
