 ELECTRONIC ARTS SETTLES LEGAL CLAIMS WITH ESPN
 SAN MATEO, Calif., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic Arts


(NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today a settlement of legal claims, effective immediately, with ESPN. Under the terms of the settlement, Electronic Arts and ESPN have released claims against the other.
 In September of 1992, an action was filed in the United States District Court in New York City, by ESPN, alleging various claims based on the use of Electronic Arts' EASN (Electronic Arts Sports Network) brand name and logo. A variety of counter claims were filed by Electronic Arts in October of 1992 against ESPN, including a claim to prevent ESPN from using its marks in the interactive entertainment business.
 Stan McKee, senior vice president and chief financial officer of Electronic Arts said, "We're pleased to come to a swift and satisfactory resolution of these legal issues."
