ELECTROMEDICS RECEIVES $600,000 PURCHASE ORDER FROM MEXICAN AGENCY

 ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Electromedics Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: ELMD) announced today it has received a purchase order for 19 Elmd 500 autotransfusion machines from the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social ("IMSS"). IMSS is Mexico's social security agency responsible for the Country's healthcare system. IMSS has begun to emphasize the utilization of autotransfusion and other autologous procedures to alleviate the problems commonly associated with donor blood. The machines will be shipped in the fourth quarter of 1993 and with the purchase of autotransfusion disposable products will generate approximately $600,000 of revenues in the quarter.
