ELECTROCOM AUTOMATION ANNOUNCES PROPOSED LICENSING AGREEMENT WITH MITSUBISHI

 DALLAS, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- ElectroCom Automation Inc. (NYSE: ECA) reported today that it has signed a letter of intent to license Mitsubishi Corporation the right to produce and sell ElectroCom's materials handling equipment in Japan.
 Under the license, Mitsubishi would market, sell, manufacture and install ElectroCom's FlexPick and SoftPick materials handling equipment in Japan.
 FlexPick is a patented automated system for dispensing products ranging from pharmaceuticals to cosmetics. The SoftPick Systems is uniquely capable of handling "hard to handle" softgoods products for catalog, mail order, and other distribution applications.
 ElectroCom Automation Inc., manufactures high-speed automated document processing systems for use primarily by the United States Postal Service and other government and commercial customers. The company also manufactures mobile data and voice communications systems and products for public safety and transit authorities, provides funded research and development, and produces material handling systems and equipment for the commercial warehouse and distribution markets. The company's common stock is listed on the NYSE under the symbol ECA.
