EILEEN PETERSON NAMED DIRECTOR OF PRODUCTION PUBLICITY FOR MOTION PICTURE GROUP OF PARAMOUNT PICTURES

HOLLYWOOD, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Eileen Peterson has been appointed director of production publicity for the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures effective March 29, it was announced today.
Peterson will oversee production publicity activities for all films of the Motion Picture Group, as well as day-to-day supervision of unit publicists, photographers and electronic press kit crews. She reports directly to Blaise Noto, vice president, national publicity.
"Eileen's experience on the set and her sensitivity to the needs of unit publicists and photographers -- and the creative people they service -- make her the ideal person to interface between the features in production and the publicity department in setting up a custom release campaign," Noto said.
Peterson has done unit publicity on more than 25 films, including the upcoming "Hot Shots! Part Deux" and "Born Yesterday" and well as Paramount's "Dead Again" and "Frankie and Johnny." Earlier major production publicity assignments include "The China Syndrome," "The Godfather, Part II," and "The Sting."
From 1978 to 1981, Peterson served as vice president, creative affairs of IPC Films for partners Jane Fonda and Bruce Gilbert, where she was involved in the development, production and marketing of "9 to 5," "On Golden Pond" and "Rollover."
More recently, she served for three years as vice president of Skyfire Productions, a motion picture advertising boutique.
She began her career at the New York office of Solters, Roskin and Sabinson, a public relations agency. Among other theatrical and film personalities, she was account executive of Barbra Streisand for the five years she worked for the firm.
Paramount Pictures is part of the entertainment operations of Paramount Communications Inc. (NYSE: PCI).
