He has 25 years experience in lightning research and did extensive studies in electrical power disturbance and system design for the electric utility industry in both his native Britain and in South Africa. In 1985 he moved to the United States and since that time has been employed by the Atlantic Scientific Corp. as director of research and by the Kearney National Co. as the director of low-voltage surge suppression. Stringfellow will report directly to Scott Nelson, president and chief executive officer of EFI.
Nelson said, "Dr. Stringfellow has been given the charter to direct and create opportunities for our new technology. In addition, he will function as EFI's interface with the industry to address major technological issues. Mr. Romney has been one of the principal players in turning Dayna into a rapidly growing, profitable company and we hope to draw on his high tech company experience and prowess to help EFI continue its growth pattern."
