EEC Dairy Facts and Figures, 1989, 18th edition.

EEC DAIRY FACTS AND FIGURES

As the Foreword says, this text sets out to be an up-to-date source of information on dairying and the dairy industry in the European Community. It also provides a summary of production and trade in the rest of the world. As in earlier years, it contains a range of data on prices, production, markets and trade. Included are brief descriptions of currency arrangements, pricing, national organisations and the European quota system.

Obviously a very important text for those involved in the dairy business, this handy book is ring bound and therefore lays flat. The actual chapters are entitled: Currencies and the EEC budget, Key EEC prices, Population and land utilisation, Dairy farming, Production, deliveries and the quota system, Milk utilisation, Prices, Structure of milk processing industry, Liquid milk and fresh milk product markets, Milk products, Trade in milk and milk products, Consumption of liquid milk and milk products, The EEC and the rest of the world, and Administrative information on EEC and national organisations.
