 EDWARD V. RANDALL JR. NAMED SENIOR EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
 OF PITTSBURGH NATIONAL BANK, A PNC BANK
 PITTSBURGH, Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Bruce E. Robbins, president and chief executive officer of Pittsburgh National Bank, a PNC Bank, announced today that Edward V. Randall Jr. has been elected senior executive vice president of the bank.
 In his new position, Randall will assist Robbins in overall management of the bank and of the Pittsburgh market in addition to continuing his oversight of Pittsburgh National's retail banking activities. He will also be responsible for PNC's Community Reinvestment Act activities.
 "Ned Randall's leadership in a wide range of responsibilities with Pittsburgh National, combined with his dedicated involvement with the Pittsburgh community, ideally suit him for this new position," Robbins said.
 Randall joined Pittsburgh National in 1964. He was appointed assistant cashier that year and assistant vice president the following year. In 1965, he was also elected vice president and head of the personnel division. In 1968, Randall was elected senior vice president and head of the personnel and marketing divisions. He was named head of the community banking division in 1972 and was elected executive vice president in March 1986.
 Randall serves as chairman of the Pittsburgh National Foundation. He is a director and was founding chairman of the Pittsburgh Partnership for Neighborhood Development. He also serves as an advisor to many community organizations. Randall is a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work.
 He is a member of the American Legion, the Duquesne Club, St. Clair Country Club, the Sons of the American Revolution and The University Club.
 Randall received his bachelor of arts degree from Brown University in 1956.
