EDITORIAL POLITICAL GLASS HOUSES CLINTON CAMPAIGN OUGHT NOT THROW STONES.
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton ought to have considered that when she called out her main rival for the nomination, Sen. Barack Obama, for his longtime connection with and campaign donations from allegedly dirty businessman Antoin Rezko of Chicago.
It's a moment that is sure to come back and haunt her, now that it's become public that Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa -- a Clinton campaign co-chair -- has received thousands in campaign cash from Rezko or people connected to him.
The very nature of big-time politics is to collect big-time money from the sometimes sleazy people who have it. As such, it's wisest for pols to keep from slinging mud that could splatter on them.
Obama gave the thousands in campaign donations he received from Rezko or his friends and family to charity. And Villaraigosa's office is now examining what it should do with its Rezko donations. But the damage to Clinton's glass house has already been done.
