Metrology Systems

SmartScope Flash[TM] is a versatile benchtop system that combines state-of-the-art video and autofocus technology to deliver productive general purpose metrology. SmartScope Flare[TM] redefines the price/performance ratio with an outstanding feature set and a low price. The unique mechanical design of SmartScope Flash and Flare features an "elevating bridge," where the X axis motion is elevated by the Z axis motion. This results in a very compact package size of less than 8 cubic feet. Axial straightness and perpendicularity are machined in during manufacture, not adjusted out later, minimizing maintenance. Both systems are equipped with the new MeasureX[TM] Metrology Software for Windows 95, 98, and NT.

Pinch Valves

Pinch valves manage the liquid or gas flow within the instrument, and the valve design enables the tubing to slide out for easy removal and instant replacement. This eliminates the need for the disassembly or removal of the valve from the instrument, and isolates patient contact to sterile tubing.

Machine Vision Sensor

The In-Sight[TM] 2000 is an industrial machine vision sensor that provides vision technology in a stand-alone package that requires no programming or PC. This technology bridges the gap between single-purpose smart cameras, which typically lack the power and flexibility to solve all but the simplest vision tasks, and general purpose machine vision systems which are higher in price and can be more difficult to use.

Barrel Filling Techniques

The 560548-M 1/10 gallon barrel loader accepts standard pre-filled 1/10 gallon caulking/sealant cartridges. It includes stands, retainer support, 1/10 gallon retainer and cap, outlet cap, and special barrel attachments. Pre-loading 3 cc to 35 cc barrels in advance speeds up assembly dispensing operations, and eliminates messes and delays caused by stopping production for reloading barrels as they empty. The loader requires a controller to produce fixed amounts of material injected into the barrel.
