The Norwegian IT group EDB Business Partner ASA said on Friday (1 April) that it would cut 34 jobs as part of its ongoing restructuring process.

The company has already shed 56 jobs as part of the restructuring resulting from the acquisition of the operating services division of telecommunications group Telenor ASA.

"In addition to the reduction in headcount, the measures implemented include making more efficient use of office space and more cost-effective purchasing, including hardware and software. The changes relate to the activities of the IT Operations business area," EDB Business Partner said.

"The costs involved will not exceed the amounts previously announced, which have already been provided for in the company's accounts," EDB Business Partner stressed.
