EC Dairy Facts and Figures.

Each year the Milk Marketing Board accumulate a whole mass of figures, and these they codify and publish in tabular form. For those in the dairy business, figures such as these can be most useful.

EC Dairy Facts and Figures aims to be an up-to-date source of information on dairying and the dairy industry in the European Community. This is the 21st edition and, as in earlier years, it contains a wide range of data on prices, utilisation, production structure, markets and trade. Also included are brief descriptions of currency arrangements, pricing, national dairying organisations, the European Community quota system, trade arrangements for New Zealand and the accession arrangements for Spain and Portugal.

Following recent developments in Eastern Europe, there are even tables of the relevant historical data and a summary of the situation in what was East Germany. Trade arrangements with countries in both Central and Eastern Europe are summarized and there is a synopsis of the proposed enlargement of the EC.
