EBASCO WORKS 10 MILLION MANHOURS WITHOUT A LOST-TIME ACCIDENT AT WATTS BAR NUCLEAR FACILITY

 NEW YORK, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Ebasco Services Incorporated announced today that its subsidiary, Ebasco Constructors Inc., has accumulated more than 10 million manhours worked without a lost-time accident during engineering and construction of the Tennessee Valley Authority's Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in Spring City, Tenn. The 10 million manhours were compiled since August 1991.
 According to the latest available data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), under Standard Industrial Code 16 designated as heavy construction, the average incidence rate for lost work day cases is 5.9 incidents per year. In 1992, Ebasco compiled an average incidence rate for lost work day cases of .602 -- 89.7 percent below the rate established by the BLS.
