EASTEC[R] 2004: annual expo brings lean, micromachining technology to Northeast.

EASTEC 2004 will bring plastics and advanced materials, micromachining technologies, and lean manufacturing to the Northeast from May 25-27 at the Eastern States Exposition Grounds in West Springfield, MA. The show will gather 600 exhibitors showing off more than 2,000 manufacturing products and services. EASTEC 2004 marks the show's 25th anniversary and will celebrate by giving away a Segway and other prizes to show attendees.

A new Plastics Processing & Advanced Materials Pavilion and Conference event provides parts manufacturers with access to information on hybrid materials, plastics processing, and machining and fabricating of plastics. The EASTEC Lean Manufacturing & Business Strategies Pavilion and Conference, sponsored by SME and the Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership (GBMP), offers East Coast manufacturers an opportunity to meet one-on-one with lean consultants and service providers.

The new MicroManufacturing Conference and Exposition, co-located with EASTEC, is for industries that specialize in small parts or ultraprecision manufacturing.

EASTEC 2004 APEX is co-sponsored by SME, the American Machine Tool Distributor's Association (AMTDA), and AMT--The Association For Manufacturing Technology. For more show information, visit www.sme.org/eastec.
