EARLY TIMES OFFERS WORLD'S LARGEST MANHATTAN CONTEST
NEW YORK, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Thoroughbred racing fans are

invited to guess how much Early Times Kentucky Whisky is required to make the "World's Largest Manhattan" at a special contest being held at Belmont Race Course Sunday, June 7.
To participate, contestants submit their guesses about how much Early Times Whisky is needed to create a 50-gallon Manhattan cocktail on official entry forms located at a display in the paddock. The contest will begin when the track's gates open, and continue until post time for the Early Times Manhattan.
The correct answer will be announced over the track's public address system following the Early Times Manhattan winner's circle presentation.
"It's one of the best bets of the day," says David Dorsey, senior brand manager of Early Times. "To help contestants with their guesses, we're providing a recipe that includes all the ingredients needed to create the 50-gallon classic Manhattan cocktail, with the exception, of course, of how many one-liter bottles of Early Times Whisky will be needed."
All persons submitting entry forms with correct answers will win an Early Times prize, i.e. Early Times T-shirt or hat. Persons entering the contest must be 21 years or older.
The contest will be promoted at Belmont with the "World's Largest" cocktail cup, which stands nearly five feet tall and measures 43 inches in diameter.
The "World's Largest Manhattan" contest celebrates the 124th running of the Belmont Stakes and is part of the "World's Largest Drink Tour," which has accompanied the Triple Crown races and the Early Times Triple Turf Series since April.
The "World's Largest Mint Julep" drink (80 gallons) was concocted and served April 24 in Louisville, Ky., at the "They're Off" luncheon, the annual official kick-off of the 10-day Kentucky Derby Festival. The "World's Largest Black-eyed Susan" drink (50 gallons) was created and served at Pimlico Race Course May 15 in Baltimore as part of the Preakness celebration.
Established in 1860, Early Times Distillery Company is located in Louisville, Ky. Early Times Old Style Kentucky Whisky products are marketed by the Brown-Forman Beverage Company, a division of the Brown-Forman Corporation in Louisville, Ky.
