Firefighters needed about 90 minutes Monday to quell a three-alarm fire that swept through a house at 2430 Lawrence St. and caused an estimated $200,000 damage. The fire was reported at 4:20 a.m. Monday. Firefighters arrived to find the two-story wood frame house in flames. The blaze was fueled by items inside and outside the house, investigators said. A firefighter was taken to the hospital after stepping on a downed power line. He was evaluated and released from the hospital. No other injures were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
