E-SYSTEMS NAMES COLLINS VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGIC PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

 DALLAS, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- E-Systems (NYSE: ESY) has appointed Dr. James R. "Bob" Collins, 52, to the position of vice president - strategic planning and development replacing Eaton Adams Jr., who passed away in June.
 Collins was recently the vice president of business development for the Garland (Texas) Division of E-Systems. He joined E-Systems in 1979 as a systems engineering manager after serving with Texas Instruments for ten years in various engineering positions.
 During his career with E-Systems Collins has been involved in intelligence related programs for more than 15 years. He became vice president of interactive systems in 1985 and directed the pursuit, development and deployment of advanced system architectures and technologies including transportable ground systems for domestic and international customers.
 Collins graduated from Lamar University in 1964 with a B.S. in mathematics. He received a master's degree in electrical engineering in 1966 and a Ph.D. in 1969, both from Texas A&M University. In 1974 Collins was awarded an M.B.A. in management from the University of Dallas.
 E-Systems is a major worldwide developer and producer of electronics systems and products in the areas of intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance systems, command and control, specialized aircraft maintenance and modification, guidance, navigation and control, communications and data systems.
