E-SYSTEMS AWARDED CENTER FOR STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP
 INFORMATION SYSTEM PROGRAM
DALLAS, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Systems Garland, Texas Division has been awarded an $8.7 million contract by the U.S. Army for the Center for Strategic Leadership Information System. Contract options of $7.1 million bring the potential value of the award to $15.8 million.
Under terms of the contract, E-Systems will design and install a data, voice and visual information system into the Center now under construction at Carlisle Barracks, Pa.
E-Systems is teamed with Coleman Research Corporation of Orlando, Fla. for design of the data subsystem. The data subsystem consists of several local area networks and a wide variety of computer equipment. The data subsystem will operate at three discrete, yet reconfigurable security levels and will interface to a wide variety of external government command and control systems.
General Projection System, Inc., of Orlando, is also a member of the E-Systems team and will design and furnish an extensive visual information subsystem which includes a briefing and display capability that can be switched to rooms throughout the 155,000 square foot facility. This visual information subsystem will interconnect with the U.S. Army War College's educational television system and the video teleconferencing facility.
As part of the voice subsystem, E-Systems will provide a secure intercom system, a technical control facility and will relocate an existing remote radio equipment facility. E-Systems will design and install an extensive cable system to support the voice, data and visual information subsystems.
The project will be managed by the Program Manager for Army Information Systems/U.S. Army Information Systems Management Activity's Command Center Upgrades/Special Projects Office located at Fort Monmouth, N.J.
E-Systems is a major worldwide developer and producer of electronics systems and products in the areas of intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance systems, command and control, electronic warfare, specialized aircraft maintenance and modification, guidance, navigation and control, communications and data systems.
