E-SYSTEMS AWARDED $63.6 MILLION FAA CONTRACT

 DALLAS, Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Federal Aviation Administration announced today the award of a $63.6 million contract to E-Systems (NYSE: ESY) for a 2 Learjet 60 aircraft systems to be used for the FAA's flight inspection mission.
 The contract also contains options worth over $400 million exercisable by the FAA through fiscal year 1996 for up to 14 additional flight inspection systems and associated systems support items.
 "These aircraft will serve as a key component of the FAA's overall quality assurance responsibility to insure aviation navigational aids and communications are safe world-wide" FAA Administrator Thomas C. Richards said. "The acquisition of these 2 aircraft represents the beginning of implementation of a 10 year strategic plan to replace obsolete aircraft systems and to reduce our maintenance costs and increased our efficiency" the administrator further explained.
 In addition to the two flight inspection aircraft systems the contract award also includes systems integration, training for pilots and maintenance personnel, initial spare parts provisioning as well as operator and maintenance manuals. The contract requires E-Systems to deliver the first system within 27 months and the second within 33 months after contract award.
 E-Systems is a major worldwide developer and producer of electronics systems and products in the areas of intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance systems, command and control, electronic warfare, specialized aircraft maintenance and modification, guidance, navigation and control, communications and data systems.
