E-SYSTEMS AND CRAY RESEARCH ENTER RESELLER AGREEMENT

DALLAS, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- E-Systems (NYSE: ESY) and Cray Research, Inc. (NYSE: CYR), have entered a joint marketing and reseller agreement for the EMASS(R) massive data storage products, the two companies announced today.
The agreement calls for the companies to jointly market and sell the EMASS mass storage products worldwide, including Japan. Primary target markets include Cray Research's current customer base in which there is a growing demand for data storage systems that can keep up with the industry leading processing power of Cray Research supercomputing systems.
"As processing speeds continue to dramatically increase, our worldwide user base is able to tackle larger and larger problems that involve, in some cases, terabytes of data," said Bob Ewald, executive vice president of Cray Research and general manager of supercomputer operations. "Storing, managing and quickly retrieving the huge amounts of data associated with these large problems are some of our customers' most important concerns today. EMASS storage products directly connected to our supercomputers will provide our users with unsurpassed storage capacity and retrieval speed."
"Cray Research was a logical choice for EMASS as we aggressively establish ourselves with key suppliers of high-performance computing," said Mike Allred, E-Systems vice president of the EMASS business unit. "Users that get gigaflops of processing speeds from Cray Research supercomputers now have terabytes of data storage capacity with EMASS products."
Cray research creates the most powerful, highest-quality computational tools for solving the world's most challenging scientific and industrial problems.
E-Systems commercial business unit, EMASS, is a developer and supplier of massive--up to 10,000 terabytes--data storage products for broad commercial applications in the petroleum, scientific and technical and financial services market.
E-Systems, with annual sales of more than $2 billion, is a major worldwide developer and producer of electronic systems and products in the areas of high-speed data processing, intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance systems, command and control, specialized aircraft maintenance and modification, guidance, navigation and control, communications and data storage systems.
