Physicians seeking a one-stop source for the best information on e-health need look no further than ACPE's E-Health Resource Center. Part of the College's initiative to connect members online and provide unparalleled access to resources at the click of a mouse, the E-Health Resource Center has become a hub of virtual activity.Since its inception last September, the E-Health Resource Center has led the way in amassing the best insight into this rapidly evolving aspect of health care. Led by a distinguished group of physicians recognized for their e-health expertise, the resource center offers ACRE members and Web site visitors an impressive array of information and an online community where interested physicians can gather.
What visitors will find
Donna Timm, ACRE staff liaison for the resource center, works with the center's leaders to coordinate activities and information postings. "Visitors to the resource center section of ACPE's Web site can access all sorts of information on e-health," she says. "Center leaders have written a primer on e-health, answered frequently asked questions (FAQ), and listed recommended readings and resources on the topic. These physician experts also are available to respond to questions about e-health issues."
Center Sponsors Webcasts
A particularly exciting feature of the E-Health Resource Center - and one that other resource centers are likely to implement - is its sponsorship of guest lecturers. Presented in the form of Webcasts, utilizing the same telephone/computer blend f technology that ACPE's Web Lecture series employs, the presentations are offered free to ACPE member physicians. Following the broadcast lecture, the center hosts online discussions for participants who want to explore the speaker's e-health concepts in greater depth with colleagues.

Visit the E-Health Resource Center by clicking on the Forums & Resource Centers link at www.acpe.org. Then choose e-Health from the Resource Center list. At the E-Health Resource Center, make your selections from the menu at the left of the page: meet the Forum leaders, delve into current readings or current issues, read the primer, check out Webcasts.
