Dynasty Financial Partners (DFP) has said that it has appointed Jason Emerson as its chief financial officer.

In his new role, Emerson will help devise and deliver financial strategy for Dynasty and offer Dynasty's outsourced CFO services to its partner firms in its nationwide advisory network. He will be based in the firm's New York office.

Emerson, who has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, has most recently served as managing director and chief operating officer at Convergex Execution Solutions. Before Convergex, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer for Gain Capital (NYSE: GCAP). Emerson's experience also includes positions as managing director and chief operating officer at Knight Capital Group for its Global Execution Services, director of Operational Risk Management at Instinet and as assistant vice president of Finance Operations at Merrill Lynch. Emerson began his financial career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1996 as a senior associate for Operational and Systems Risk Management.

Additionally, the company said that Amit Grover, who had been Dynasty's CFO since its launch, will now lead the Dynasty Capital Strategies business. Dynasty Capital Strategies offers both debt solutions and equity solutions to Dynasty network firms seeking capital.
