Collected papers of John Milnor; VI

All but two of the 17 papers were written between 1985 and 1999, says Milnor (State U. of New York-Stony Brook). Covering in turn real dynamics and complex dynamics, they consider such topics as directional entropies of cellular automaton-maps, a monotonicity conjecture for real cubic maps, self-similarity and hairiness in the Mandelbrot set, the Fibonacci unimodal map, and the mathematical work of Curt McMullen. Most of the papers were reproduced, and retain their original page numbers for reference and new page numbers for the volume's index.
