Dynamic duo will attempt to break Guinness World Record for most burpees in 24 hours.

It's one of the most hated exercises ever -- but two fitness fanatic personal trainers are springing down to it and aiming to break a Guinness World Record for the most burpees performed in 24 hours.

Personal trainers Eva Clarke and Lee Ryan, who are based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively, are putting their bodies on the line in an effort to not only break the record but also raise money for a cancer charity.

The dynamic duo will carry out their world record attempt on January 9 next year at the Dubai Autodrome.

"We decided to choose the burpee exercise for our record attempt as it is synonymous with fitness instructors around the world," said 34-year-old Eva.

"It's a really hard exercise both physically and mentally, which is the perfect challenge."

The current world record for most burpees done in 24 hours stands at 12,000 for males and 10,000 for females. British national Lee and Australian Eva are aiming to hit 15,000 repetitions of the notoriously difficult exercise each in that time frame.

Eva, a former military trainer who has been living in the UAE for three years, said: "We thought it would be a good idea to team up and challenge each other, as well as raise money for the World Child Cancer foundation at the same time."

The UK-based charity gives underprivileged children with cancer around the world access to much needed treatment.

Eva and Lee are aiming to raise $50,000 in donations from members of the public for the charity from their burpee blitz.
