Durham firm joins Baldwins Accountancy Group.
A DURHAM accountancy firm has joined forces with one of the UK's fastest-growing accountancy groups after marking 25 years in business.
Pullan Barnes Chartered Accountants, who have offices in Framwellgate Moor, Durham, and Stephenson House, Hetton-le-Hole, have joined the Baldwins Accountancy Group.
The group now has an annual turnover of around PS75m and employs more than 1,250 people.
Both offices, which employ a total of 15 people and provides general accountancy services to more than 1,200 businesses in the North East, will trade immediately as Baldwins.
Pullan Barnes was founded in 1992 in Hetton-le-Hole by Keith Pullan and Mike Barnes before establishing a presence in Durham a year later; Yasmin Bari joined the firm as a partner in 2005 having already worked for the firm for eight years.
Mike Barnes and Yasmin Bari, both partners at Pullan Barnes, will continue to lead both offices, with Keith Pullan becoming a consultant.
Baldwins' acquisition of Pullan Barnes takes the Group's total number of offices in the region to eleven.
