Duo jump for joy at their trophy triumph.

COUSINS Kelsie and Kristina Yeoman of Loftus cleaned up at their local Gymkhana held by Glaisdale Pony Club at Danby showfield last month.

Eight-year-old Kelsie rode her auntie's pony called Molly and a friend's pony as her pony went lame the day before, while Kristina, six, rode her own pony Mouse.

Kelsie's rosette haul consisted of: 1st lead rein bending, 1st musical ride, 3rd mug race, 1st lead rein jumping, 2nd jumping (the first time she has jumped at a gymkhana off lead rein) and 2 clear rounds.

She also won a trophy for coming first in the lead rein jumping and the fastest lead rein clear round.

Kristina's rosette haul consisted of: 1st potato race, 1st mug race, 1st flag race, 2nd musical ride, 2nd bending race, 3rd lead rein jumping, 3rd jumping (the first time she has jumped at a gymkhana off lead rein) and 1 clear round.

She also won the trophy for the most points in games and the handy pony course.

Both girls learned to ride at Borrowby Equestrian Centre which is owned by Kristina's mum and Kelsie's auntie, Karen Yeoman.
