Dunguib has champion credentials; RATINGS RISERS.

A FEW Cheltenham hopefuls were under the spotlight during the past week and they were among some of the bigger movers in the ratings.

As evidenced by the thoughts of the expert jury in the Irish Racing Post on Monday, no Champion Hurdle contender since Harchibald has polarised opinion more than Dunguib.

However, his solid-looking win in Saturday's Red Mills Hurdle means he goes up 10lb to 159.

He might have to improve another 10lb to win the Champion Hurdle, but it is a rating far more in line with being a genuine contender.

The dominant performance given by Ryanair Chase hopeful Rubi Light to win the Red Mills Chase has seen him go up 8lb to a mark of 156, now 2lb superior to runner-up Roberto Goldback who ran below his best.

Coral Cup favourite Call The Police gets a 10lb hike to 140 after his performance in a conditions hurdle at Punchestown last Wednesday. The British assessor awaits.

The long overdue success of Pertemps Hurdle hopeful Rivage D'Or at Naas on Sunday earns him a 7lb hike to a mark of 128.
