MANews-(C)2009-2012

6 June 2012 a[euro]" US environmental and civil engineering consultancy Dudek has merged its operations with those of North Fork Associates in a deal whose financial parameters remained undisclosed.

Both firms are based in California and the transaction strengthens Dudeka[euro](tm)s presence in the state, taking the number of its California offices to eight and adding a five-member team of professionals to its roster.

North Fork Associates was founded by Cathy Spence-Wells, who serves as company president. The team she leads will continue to operate from its current base in Auburn. Spence-Wells said that the merger had brought together two naturally fitting businesses with a practical approach to project management, combining their complementary services and know-how. Both companies place great value on integrity and aim to provide customers with the best possible service, she added.

North Fork Associates offers environmental impact analysis and planning services, specialising in areas such as land use planning; CEQA and NEPA analysis, documentation, and compliance; contract planning services for local agencies and consulting services for state and federal environmental permits. It serves public and private sector clients in the Sierra foothills, Tahoe Basin and Central Valley.

Dudeka[euro](tm)s founder and president Frank Dudek said that his company provided services helping clients comply with environmental regulations and meet design standards unique to the state of California.
