Ducks set series with Tennessee.

Byline: From wire and staff reports

Oregon and Tennessee officially signed to play their first home-and-home football series, officials at both schools said on Monday.

The Southeastern Conference's Volunteers will play the Ducks on Sept. 11, 2010, in Knoxville, then travel to Eugene for a rematch on Sept. 14, 2013.

``This is another major BCS opponent for us and will be the first time we've ever played in the Pacific Northwest,'' Tennessee athletic director Mike Hamilton said. ``This continues our pattern of intersectional competition against premier opponents.''

The Ducks also announced that a previously scheduled football game at Boise State in 2010 had been moved to 2009 to complete the Ducks' schedule that season. Oregon will play the Broncos in Eugene on Aug. 30, 2008.

Tennessee has upcoming series against California in 2006-07 and UCLA in 2008-09. The Vols announced earlier they will play North Carolina in 2011-12 and Oklahoma in 2014-15.

This season, the Vols suffered their first losing season since 1988, finishing 5-6.
