Dubai Women's College business students win Collegiate Business Strategy Competition.

A team of four business students from Dubai Women's College (DWC), accompanied by their faculty advisors, recently won the 46th Annual International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition which was held at San Diego, California, USA. Over 26 universities competed in this year's competition including teams from American and European universities. The International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition is an international simulation designed to enable business students to integrate and apply the theories of their various business courses. The students become strategic managers of simulated companies competing against other business students acting as managers of their own companies.Mr. KVN Rao, DWC Business Faculty said, "It has been a great privilege to work with this talented group of young individuals. The students have shown great team spirit, adaptability, maturity and commitment.A I am really proud of them and their achievement. "Business students from DWC have been participating in this particular competition for a few years now. Participating in such competitions enables them to meet and interact with other international students, which instills a sense of confidence and pride that they can match their skills against them and most importantly act as ambassadors of their country. This year's team comprising of Aliya Sharaf, Majida Al Awar, Sumayya Kazim and Roudha Bin Hezaim, captured the 'First place' in the overall business performance category and were 'Runners up' in the outstanding annual reports category. The team members commented that they were extremely delighted with the final outcome of the competition. Aliya Sharaf, said "The pace of the competition was fast, both technically and intellectually challenging and stressful from the very beginning. We are extremely happy and proud to have represented DWC and the United Arab Emirates at the competition and more importantly we competed successfully with other international teams." DWC has been recognized as being at the pinnacle of higher education in UAE and partners with leading experts from around the world to encourage and develop the skills of young Emirati women to become world leaders.
