His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has instructed that a law be drafted to protect disabled people.

The directive was issued by the Crown Prince of Dubai yesterday as he launched the 'My community, a city for everyone' initiative, which aims to transform Dubai into a disability-friendly city by 2020.

Sheikh Hamdan posted on Twitter: "People living with disabilities are active members of society, endowed with a will to succeed and partners in social and economic development. We ask all relevant entities to find ways to improve their services for people with disabilities."

We also want all key services to be available in Braille for the visually impaired, so our community truly becomes a place for everyone
