Du to take next-gen Wi-Fi demo to Mobile World Congress.
Dubai-based telecoms provider, du has announced its participation in the Next-Generation Hotspot (NGH) and Passpoint/Hotspot 2.0 technology demonstration at GSMA's Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain from 2 to 5 March.
The Wi-Fi network, provided by Cisco, will support
subscribers from more than 30 global operators attending MWC. The demo will be
supported by the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) and GSMA, and will allow
du's attendees at MWC, with devices that support Passpoint/Hotspot 2.0, to
automatically roam within the Wi-Fi network using secure credentials.
