Drunk dad's Jaguar car escapade.

A young dad burgled a house and drove away a Jaguar after he drank too much on a Christmas night out.

Cardiff Crown Court was told Scott Williams, 31, could not remember a thing about the night.

'It was a works do - a night on the town - the only thing he remembers is being arrested,' barrister Kevin Seal told a judge.

Williams pleaded guilty to burgling the property in Oxford Street, Nantgarw, stealing car keys, driving away a Jaguar car without consent and causing pounds 8,000 worth of damage to it.

Williams further admitted being over the drink-drive limit and driving without insurance. All the offences were committed on December 22 last year.

Williams, of Ty Twyn, Foxfields, Church Village, had his sentence adjourned for reports by Judge Christopher Llewellyn-Jones QC, who bailed him.

Mr Seal said: 'He is a man with a job and a young family - there are matters that need to be looked at before sentence is passed.'
